AVM expands Smart Home portfolio with Zigbee technology integration
AVM has expanded its Smart Home portfolio with the Zigbee wireless technology. Alongside DECT ULE, devices with Zigbee can now be directly connected to the FRITZ!Box. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS, FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable, and the already available FRITZ!Smart Gateway all support both Zigbee and DECT. The FRITZ!Smart Gateway combines DECT and Zigbee in one device, enabling the integration of many new applications in the Smart Home. This opens up numerous possibilities for lighting control, as existing Zigbee LED lamps from other manufacturers can easily be integrated into the FRITZ! Smart Home. Existing FRITZ!Box models also become Zigbee-enabled through the smart gateway.
