KitchenGuard: Revolutionizing Cooking with AI and Smart Technology

0

The KitchenGuard is a state-of-the-art sensor designed to revolutionize cooking in the kitchen. Developed by a team of three founders, this intelligent sensor enables a more relaxed, energy-efficient, and safer cooking experience. By harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), traditional induction cooktops are upgraded with smart cooking functions. The KitchenGuard project is supported for 12 months by the EXIST Start-Up Grant from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the European Union.

KitchenGuard: Revolutionizing Cooking with AI-powered Perception System

The KitchenGuard cooking sensor utilizes an AI-powered perception system with artificial neural networks to enhance the cooking experience. By adding useful cooking functions to induction cooktops, the sensor makes stove operation more intuitive. It accurately detects the current cooking state, such as simmering or boiling water, and automatically adjusts the temperature accordingly. Thanks to machine learning and an artificial perception system, precise assessments of the cooking process can be made to prevent hazards like overflowing liquids.

KitchenGuard ensures a relaxed cooking experience while preserving privacy

The KitchenGuard ensures a relaxed cooking experience with its automatic power regulation. The integrated microcontrollers in the sensor guarantee that the sensor data and evaluation data remain with the end user, ensuring privacy protection. Users of the KitchenGuard system can rely on a reliable and secure cooking experience.

KitchenGuard-Kochsensor: Reducing Energy Consumption by 30 Percent

The KitchenGuard cooking sensor offers a significant advantage in reducing energy consumption while cooking. By automating various processes, it can save up to 30 percent of electricity. The KitchenGuard team estimates that if the sensor were used in just ten percent of German households, it could save 315 gigawatt-hours of electrical energy annually, which is equivalent to the annual energy output of 15 large wind turbines.

Innovative KitchenGuard team plans company launch, sensor technology development

The interdisciplinary founding team of KitchenGuard, consisting of Jan-Philipp Bott, Jochen Heudorfer, and Simon Heudorfer, has already made concrete plans for starting the company. In addition to project planning and business plan development, the sensor technology is being further developed. Furthermore, discussions with a stove manufacturer for a development partnership are already underway.

Gründungsteam erhält Unterstützung bei kritischer Phase der Unternehmensgründung

The founding team receives support from industry experts, their mentor Prof. Joachim Bös, and the Ilmkubator team, the startup service of the TU Ilmenau, during the critical phase of the company’s establishment. The EXIST start-up grant from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, co-financed by the European Social Fund, provides them with financial support and coaching to develop their business plan and prepare for company formation.

KitchenGuard Cooking Sensor: Revolutionizing the Kitchen Experience

The KitchenGuard cooking sensor offers numerous benefits for cooking enthusiasts. By utilizing Artificial Intelligence and an intelligent perception system, cooking becomes more relaxed, energy-efficient, and safer. In addition to its automatic power control and intelligent user interface, the sensor significantly reduces energy consumption. With the support of the EXIST start-up grant and Ilmkubator, the KitchenGuard founding team has a promising future ahead.
