The Hanover-based company IoTmaxx GmbH is working persistently to make the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) accessible to its medium-sized customers in the highest quality and with customised functions. The certification of the manufacturer’s gateways for Deutsche Telekom’s IoT Cloud now enables significant time savings in the implementation of IoT projects.
IoTmaxx offers versatile Linux-based gateways for IIoT and M2M solutions
Managing Director Christian Lelonek explains that the gateways from IoTmaxx, which are based on Linux, already serve as the basis for numerous individual IIoT and M2M solutions. Thanks to the partnership with Deutsche Telekom, we can now also enable our customers to use this provider’s Cloud of Things. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has already found its way into various industries and opens up diverse application possibilities in areas such as water and wastewater management, industrial manufacturing, energy management as well as infrastructure and e-mobility projects.
With the help of an individualised online access to the IoT Cloud, the user receives a comprehensive overview of various sensor data, such as temperature, humidity, vibrations or switching states. In addition, the platform offers a variety of analysis tools with which the user can optimise the efficiency of plants and processes. Furthermore, downtimes and costs can be effectively minimised through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Gateway maxx GW4101: Sensor Data for the IoT Cloud
The IIoT mobile gateways from IoTmaxx offer a reliable solution for collecting and processing information from machines and plants. With the help of secure mobile radio connections, the data is transmitted in real time to Telekom’s Cloud of Things. In the cloud, the information is evaluated and made available for various applications.
Our gateways, as mentioned by Christian Lelonek, the managing director of IoTmaxx GmbH, offer an open Linux platform with mainline kernel and enable connection to different systems without being tied to a specific manufacturer. Another outstanding feature is the extraordinary variety of supported protocols and interfaces, which ensures broad compatibility.
The Gateway maxx GW4101 with sensor interface expansion provides a range of interfaces for various applications. Available interfaces include RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet. This versatile solution allows users to transmit data efficiently and reliably.

A Win-Win for IoTmaxx and Telekom: A Promising Collaboration
Thanks to the partnership with Telekom, IoTmaxx customers receive a comprehensive solution that combines hardware, connectivity, services, and billing. They also gain access to Telekom’s Internet of Things (IoT) cloud. The certification of IoTmaxx gateways allows for significant reduction in project lead times, resulting in valuable time savings for users. Lelonek states, “As a connectivity partner of Deutsche Telekom, we greatly expand our distribution network and enhance our technical capabilities. At the same time, Telekom complements ist IIoT and M2M business with innovative and flexible offerings for small and medium-sized enterprises.
