Linxens, a leading technology company, is excited to announce its collaboration with Ecole de design de Nantes Atlantique for the “Just Draw It” project. This partnership brings together the expertise of Linxens and the creative minds of about 20 design students from the DNMADE INTERNATIONAL program. The students will be tasked with developing innovative solutions using Linxens’ technology. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and explore new possibilities in the field of design and technology.
Collaborative project empowers future designers in developing innovative water monitoring solution
In this extensive program, which spans a duration of three months, the daily lives of future designers will be greatly influenced. The main objective of this collaborative project is to merge our expertise with the creativity of the students in order to create a new solution for private or public water monitoring. Through this partnership, we aim to develop and conceptualize a tool that combines our technical knowledge with innovative design, ultimately enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of water quality measurement.
Most water monitoring systems available today are designed for professionals and rely on optical or electronic devices. However, Linxens aims to develop a more accessible tool that allows the general public to measure water quality using sensors connected to a smartphone. While this technology can already be used to measure the quality of swimming pools, ponds, and lakes, there are numerous other applications waiting to be explored. This is where the talented students from Ecole de design de Nantes Atlantique come into play.
Within this project, design students are immersing themselves in a genuine educational experience that promotes progress and innovation. Their main task is to create a fictional brand, contemplate the strategic positioning of the product, and model a feasible solution that aligns with real consumer needs and specific situations. This endeavor allows the students to develop their skills in brand creation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving, while also fostering an understanding of the importance of meeting consumer demands.
The design aspect plays a crucial role in technological innovations as it goes beyond the mere technical functionality and highlights the overall benefits. Merely being technically efficient is not enough for an innovation to succeed; it must also be user-friendly and accepted by the general public. Therefore, redesigning the design becomes a key element in enhancing the acceptance of innovations. This is why we decided to collaborate with Ecole de design de Nantes Atlantique to gain a fresh perspective on our products, as stated by Nicolas de Guillebon, Director of Innovation at Linxens.
