This pool, which includes small and medium-sized businesses, was acquired last year for the 2025 delivery year and is gaining popularity. Additionally, 16 percent of pool customers have chosen renewable energy for the 2026 delivery year. Instead of meeting the energy demand on a specific date, Süwag secures a portion based on wholesale prices from the Leipziger Energiebörse European Energy Exchange (EEX) on each trading day. This approach smooths out price spikes and incorporates price lows into the procurement process. As a result, customers benefit from stable prices and a streamlined transaction process.
